About

Active Childcare at Milwaukee Yard is a licensed daycare and preschool in Oak Creek, Wisconsin for children ages 6 weeks through Pre-K. We have 5 dedicated classrooms broken out by age, including Infant Care, Toddler Care, Two-Year-Olds, Preschool, and Pre-K, each with its own curriculum covering early literacy, science, art, music, sensory play, and more. We are licensed by and in good standing with the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families, and every member of our team goes through background checks and ongoing training in early childhood development before they step foot in a classroom.

The thing that makes us different from most daycares in the area is the building we are in. Active Childcare operates inside Milwaukee Yard, a 101,000+ square foot indoor sports complex with 3 turf fields, 2 basketball courts, a 5-level play tower, and outdoor playgrounds. Our kids get to use all of it, every day. So instead of 20 minutes on a small playground, your child is running on real turf, climbing a play tower that actually challenges them, and getting the kind of daily physical activity that most daycares just cannot offer in a traditional space. And because it is all indoors, January looks the same as June.

We are at 7727 S. Longwater Drive in Oak Creek, right off I-41/94 at Drexel Ave. Most of our families come from Oak Creek, Franklin, Greenfield, South Milwaukee, and Cudahy. Free tours are available any time. Call (414) 677-1200 or email childcaredirector@milwaukeeyard.com .
