About

Primary Levels are the entry point into formal ballet training, where students strengthen their love of dance while laying a strong foundation. The classes build on previous introductory experience and gradually increase in frequency and commitment level. Increasingly challenging exercises begin to include turning and jumping, with an emphasis on building the strength and flexibility required for pointe work and more complex movements.

Primary A is designed for first-year students beginning their primary education, focusing on foundational skills appropriate to each level. Primary B is for students who have completed Primary A or have already developed foundational skills at this level, offering a more advanced pace and deeper training.

Students in Primary 3a begin Pre-Pointe training under the guidance of their instructors and, at the discretion of faculty, may be introduced fully onto Pointe during Session 2.

Tuition follows the weekly hours: a student is placed into one level and attends every class in it. Character dance is the study of various styles of folk dance, which may rotate throughout the year.
