About

Jr. 76ers Basketball Day Camps — the #1 Basketball Camp in the NBA. Jr. 76ers Camps were started in 1985 as an opportunity for young players to learn the fundamentals of the game and to "rub elbows" with NBA players. Today, basketball players of all skill levels learn the game from the best camp coaching staff in the NBA, along with present and past 76ers players and coaches. Our experienced coaches are handpicked for their basketball knowledge and ability to work well with kids.

This listing is for the Jr. 76ers Basketball Day Camp at Radnor Activity Center. Supervised by experienced basketball coaches from the Jr. 76ers Camps coaching staff, each week of camp is designed to build a strong foundation for the game. Players learn skill development in shooting, ball handling, passing and movement in a fun and positive learning environment. Guest speakers may include former 76er players, but are not guaranteed.

Radnor Activity Center is located in beautiful downtown Wayne, directly behind the Radnor Fire Company. Renovated in 2008, the full-size gymnasium has dedicated floor lining for basketball and is fully air-conditioned. Jr. 76ers Camps will have a certified Athletic Trainer on-site and has hoops with adjustable rim heights.

Here's What You'll Learn: Ball Handling — how to protect the ball and dribble with either hand. Passing — the 5 basic passes and when to use them. Offense with and Without the Ball — how to shake your defender and get in triple threat position. Shooting — the fundamentals of shooting (off the pass and off the dribble) and how to make a lay up with either hand. Rebounding — how to box your man out and attack the offensive boards. Defense — a proper defensive stance, how to move your feet and stay with your man. Character Development — the character muscles that make you a great player on and off the court. Movement — improve your athleticism, balance and coordination.

Every year, Jr. 76ers Camps quickly sell out and enrollment is limited. Campers are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
